The Kurunegoda Piyatissa Thero Trust Fund was established at Metropolitan Branch of Bank of Ceylon in Sri Lanka on 2017. It was established with deposits from Ven. Kurunegoda Piyatissa Thero’s bank accounts in Sri Lanka and England. Ven. Thero deposited this money from his time in Sri Lanka and England before he came to the United States. Overtime the money in these accounts accumulated to a large sum. The objectives of the trust fund are:
To maintain and provide Buddhist temples in need of funds.
To provide funds for publishing Buddhist literature and propagating Dhamma.
To assist Buddhist monks and children in gaining an education.
To help struggling families with building homes and other expenses
To provide funds for medical expenses for Buddhist monks/nuns.
To make donations to schools in need.
The annual interest earned from the trust fund will be used to satisfy the goals listed above.
